| My Choice for North Las Vegas Mayor |
|
Read the endorsement letter from Dr. Paul Meacham, North Las Vegas' own President Emeritus of the College of Southern Nevada North Las Vegas is fortunate to have five quality individuals who have offered themselves as candidates for the position of Mayor of this fine city. Each one brings a unique set of personal and professional abilities and experiences that could be useful to the task at hand. However, as with any election, only one person can advance to this exalted spot, and so the challenge to the citizens of North Las Vegas is to make the right choice for this important position by selecting that individual whose track record shows evidence and promise as the best chance for advancing an agenda that would benefit North Las Vegas and North Las Vegans. From my perspective, as one who has enjoyed a 20 year career as a professional educator in Southern Nevada, the most obvious choice is Councilman William Robinson, whose achievements as a councilman and public school counselor truly show him to be a leader among equals. He is already serving in the capacity of Mayor Pro-Tem, and therefore more visibly associated with the mayor position than any of the other candidates. During my eleven year tenure as President of The College of Southern Nevada (formerly CCSN) I had numerous occasions to interact with Councilman Robinson regarding programs and projects that were mutually beneficial to the College, its students, and citizens of the City of North Las Vegas. In all instances his contributions to these efforts were invaluable and greatly appreciated. In my view the North Las Vegas of the future can best be served by a mayor whose vision for the city can be communicated to others by being: These qualities already describe Councilman Robinson, and are among the numerous reasons why he receives my unqualified endorsement for Mayor of North Las Vegas.
